<When the Biologist doesn't get it, he/she asks the Chemists.
When the Chemist doesn't get it, he/she asks the Mathematicians.
When the Mathematician doesn't get it, he/she asks the Physicists.
When the Physicists doesn't get it, he/she asks God.>

God lives in the cracks of science until they are filled in... then He moves on. Scientists check with their peers and seek confirmation and prediction.

Religion ... It's a fractal of ignorance in my opinion. Comforting for some but doesn't provide predictive value of any kind. God would strike with lightning the chapels with pointy roofs more often than porno theaters of equal height which tend to have flat roofs. THAT is physics, which He has to obey. Every creation story can't be right - they all differ in the details except floods - because that, lightning and fires were several of our first natural enemies without teeth. My areas of formal study are computer science, physics and geology. They all use math - which provides prediction. Theology provides no prediction.

Only if he/she is a foolish, superstitious twit. Live with uncertainty. It's the better path than to make up a volcano monster because you don't understand the smoke.

I've accepted that as a very tiny being on an insignificant planet circling a very ordinary star, I'm not going to get the answers to the biggest questions, unless I just make them up and start believing in them. Which I won't do.

We see a lot further than we did when your religion was needed. These aren't stars, they're galaxies of billions of stars:
