We've specualted on the "Killer App" to drive people to upgrade. I think I have it. RSI prevention vis a vis voice recognition. We're just experimenting with it and it seems to take 64M on W95 and 82M on NT, a great sound card and a "reasonable" Pentium to just get running. My guess, as the software gets better, more processor speed will allow it to run better as with most applications.

Besides being long Intel, I wonder if there are any other investments that can take advantage of this? MU seems obvious.

Any idea why the high RAM requirements? Seems to me this would be all processor stuff.

BTW, what kind of wpm can you get with your voice recognition software (and what is the software package, price, and cpu+RAM configuration)? My mom is currently under siege from RSI, and I would be happy to have her company spend on a good V.Recog. system...

Anyone notice that Intel is up 3.1% since Brinker said it was "dead money" (last weekend)? At least not enough followers sold or agreed to make the stock go down. This is noise level, but it shows a man with a large following doesn't influence the price of a large cap stock like Intel. Interesting observation, if nothing else.
