Kevin, Re -- 386SL.. This is an embedded controller with the 386 core which includes DMA controllers, serial and parallel I/O support, integrated cache and tag ram, integrated System Memory Management etc.. However the concept of integrated functionality is not new at Intel. Cyrix essentially copied (Despite Fuchi's vehment denial) Intel's ideas for its 486GX embedded controller. Like I said previously, the only cyrix innovation was to prove that OLD TECHNOLOGY SELLS!!. But to the detriment of cyrix of course. They continue to LOSE money. Stockman
