I seriously doubt that the layoff will happen.
Remember that Appleton is going in front of the House Committee
and those politicos hate to hear the word "layoff". He is just
trying to strengthen his appeal to Congress.

As for the flag waving for all Americans, what about the equipment manufacturers who will lose money now that the Koreans can't buy
their goods. Teradyne et. al. will be the ones with layoffs.
