n a PEW poll taken a few years ago it said 80% of scientists lean Democratic and 51% called themselves liberals.

Only 6% called themselves Republicans--why is that do you think?

Because they were indoctrinated by pathetic university systems which don't permit free speech and which promote leftism through tenure and other means. Fortunately, this reign is about to come to an end as university systems begin to collapse, which they will do in the coming years.
May be, because scientists are smart, and smart people will never join Trump party (former GOP)

That entire post is pure bullshit. Is Trump related to you?

E.g. you say scientists are indoctrinated. Oh yeah, all the fucking scientists in the world? They all agree n the salient points like quantum physics and evolution, etc.

And then how do they manage to make I phones and space ships?

You right wingers live in a pure fantasy world you make up.

And science is your monster because it disproves your ideas.

The reason only 6% of scientists are Republicans is because they know both evolution and global warming are settled science!

So how could they be a part of the Republican nonsense!!??

And you say Darwin's evolution is in question-lol! More shit you pulled out of your ass.

>> MOST Republicans still can't even wrap their mind around evolution and don't believe in AGW / globa warming.

This is a false statement. More Republicans are attached to sheer creationism than Democrats; but polls on the topic are extremely biased, poorly done, and few and far between, so the precise numbers are difficult to come by (most of the work is done by Pew, which is not that well-executed).

More recently, molecular biology, genetics and genomics have brought into question bits and pieces of Darwin's work such that "Evolution" as it was defined doesn't quite hold water. There is starting to be a lot of doubt about how it works, exactly, and whether it is as reliable as previously thought.

Darwin's great work has not been called into question so much as the fact he was missing access to key technologies we have today -- genetics, genomics, and most importantly, microbiology.

You should be careful about your politically bigoted insults as they may reflect more on you than on others.

>> But we still have racists, sexists, homophobe's, criminals, ignorant and neurotic people. and IMO, most of those are in the Republican party.

I know you said "IMO", but is that based at all on evidence or did you just pull it out of your ass as usual?

Thank you Captain Obvious.

Evolution has been observed in the lab. There is one long running experiment with bacteria to test aspects of evolution.. They sample and freeze the bacteria on a periodic basis. And they track how they have evolved over the decades. There is no question that it occurs. Now one can quibble with some of Darwin's ideas, as you note genetics hadn't even been discovered yet, but there is no question about whether or not organisms evolve. Rejecting evolution is sort of like rejecting gravity at this point in time.

Likewise, it is indisputable that some Republicans, like pretty much the entire evangelical wing, deny that evolution happens. The Evagelicals are a significant voting bloc in the Republican party. Probably the single largest bloc of voters. Given that there are non-evangelicals in the Republican party, during the Republican debates in the runup to the 2016 election, a majority of the candidates(IIRC, all but one) indicated they reject evolution, who also reject evolution, it very well may be that a majority of Republicans reject evolution. Your handwaving not withstanding.
