The "progressive" crooks in California always find ways of taking money away from the common man with regressive taxes. Gasoline taxation is just one example of their crimes against the poor and working class. Excessive fees for auto registrations are another. The list is long. I often think that Cali politicians must be refugees from the old Soviet Union because they have the politburo thing down pat.
