Well, there is not set price, but it is a good starting point even for a young company as long as the revenue and revenue growth are consistent. I believe that the market for ORBS will explode as Java and Java Beans begin to take hold in the enterprise. That being said, I think that BORL gets a real bargin. And the engineers at VSGN can expect to make a tidy return off of their Employee Stock Options's and Stock Purchase plan over the next few years. This is improtant, because if BORL was paying cash, they would get a better price, but the VSGN employees would have little incentive to stay as their option sell price would be fixed at about $7/share.

BORL also gets a first rate VP of engineering, who understands the enterprise. That alone is well worth a million dollars. I keep looking for a negative in this. Aside from my worthless Jan 98's, I see no problems at all.

Just remember when IBM bought Lotus. It was too expensive, it would never work, etc. The critics were wrong.
