Addi very difficult to say if c.call went "very well". Went average is what I'll say. No congratulations from analysts but great questions and answers from both parties. I liked l/t implications. LSI seems sound l/t. N/t remember with LSI the market always perceives later. Therefore they may not believe the later this time any more than they believed LSI's later several times in past quarters.

Certainly c.call was not "bad". But as I mentioned LSI may likely not meet 0.26 for q1'98. Remember the con artists are here to predict n/t moves in stocks not l/t. If l/t they would have nothing to do from q to q. LSI would be a perennial buy, so would INTC, and MSFT and every other tech leader. But product transitions can turn gold into chopped suey over night. (See what happened to ASND with the 56KFlex issues. Recovering slowly now but a few months/weeks ago people were proclaiming that ASND was toast. Not likely. Hard to dislodge a backbone provider.) And for one company to prosper others have to fail. There may be mild upgrades tomorrow but that would not be the consensus I gather. LSI still needs to have those end-markets moving. When you see DVD taking off then LSI will soar. And fibre channel.

The one safe thing I will say - LSI is unlikely to remain stuck below $15 anytime soon. Maybe not even $17. So no end-of-the-world scenario. It's in a state of stasis. Probably does not hurt to begin accumulating now. But hard for me to see a sustained rally up at this point. The n/t causes are just not there. For now.

However every day that it stays at these levels the faster and higher it will go once it does take off. Call it tuning up before the take off.
