Gottfried Re "I'll be glad to update the chart weekly, if there is a request to do so."

I see you post in many threads I'm interested in - we probably have
similar stocks - I hereby request you to update the charts on a weekly
(or quicker) cycle.

Regards

Jay

G,

I can't get onto that site, so I'm pissed off! Between that and this stupid Wishbone CD I'm working on for my daughter, I am about to toss the damn computer. Anyone who doesn't think we need VASTLY more processing power, better software, and larger pipes, is an -----le, and an idiot, I might add.

Oh yeah, about the ratio's.I noticed that if the 5-1 difference varied much, it would correct quickly. I thought I noticed, without ever charting, I don't do charts, that if it stayed out of whack for awhile, the reaction was severe when it occurred. The problem is, as you note, that you can't know from this exercise which index will correct or surge, to come to equilibrium. Nevertheless, I have used it with the assumption that the nas should rise enough to move toward the 1/4 level, but to be margined in tech's only when the level is a fair amount under 5x. For example, be a bit more fearless with nas at 1200 and dow at 6600, but more fearful with nas at 1720 and dow at 7900. These are examples only.

I have used this idea since about 1993. I am more of a "big idea" investor with little turnover in my portfolio, until recently, so I'd be cautious taking this seriously. I know no one matching my results who listens to my ideas, other than a family member, so I don't know if I can be useful to anyone.
