When she was an intern, she was unpaid. She had just graduated from college. Her father is a wealthy doctor in Beverly Hills, and had been a big Democratic fundraiser. Later, she moved on to paid jobs in the administration.

The specific charges I am alluding to are perjury in the Paula Jones case if he did have an affair with Monica after he testified that he did not, and suborning perjury for trying to convince her to lie, and obstruction of justice. Yes, these are allegations at this point, but they are felonies. We will see!!

And I have to agree with the other women here who do not object so much to discreet affairs in private--so it is not really moral indignation--but to the sheer obscenity of what Billy does in public, perhaps almost bringing down the government, definitely calling into questin his mental stability and his judgment, and especially humiliating his wife and daughter. This is nothing women want to see in the sense of teaching their children the right way for adults to treat each other, in the sense of moral standards in relationships. Whatever the president does in private, he should attempt to be a reasonable role model in public.
