Bill - Actually, they did as much as say that they expected GM improvements over the next few quarters. However, I'll admit they left it a little vague. In particular, someone asked about GM, and how it would be affected by the slow down, and their reply was that 'they expect most of the improvement to come from materials cost decreases and warranty changes, and only 1% to come from efficiencies of scale'. Thus, I read this as an indication that they expect some significant GM improvement by this quarter or next. However, operating margin is probably a totally different story.

Did you understand the whole etch market thing? Since I have only a limited understanding of the different technologies and their applications I had a tough time interpreting it. Do you have a better understanding?

Clark

PS I agree that the next quarter or two is likely to be rocky, but I expect that the stock upturn will happen 6 months before the actual industry improvements, so... . Maybe another rocket starting in July August time frame?
