Google is great. I had no idea I had written that but Google remembered and no doubt found it in seconds for you. I remember that goose stepping gives me the creeps but not all I wrote.

Thanks for the video.

Apart from the last scene of the gorgeous ladies (that's an army I could relate to), the notable item was Emperor Pooh Xi doing excessive blinking. That's not a relaxed Happy Chappy.

Contrast his rally with Big Don's Minnesota rally.

One was happy and one not so much.

Trump even discussed how the biggest challenge isn't North Korea, China, Russia etc but USA internecine competition*. Trump doesn't blink much.

USA is much more my style. Not that it's remotely right but simply less bad than nearly all.

Combine the good of Hong Kong, Singapore, UK, Switzerland, France, ... so many really then make Tradable Citizenship and we'd have the 21st century looking good.

Unfortunately, I think we're going to have another drop into doom and darkness before the next punctuated equilibrium evolutionary step. But maybe not. I don't like the trends.

Emperor Pooh Xi blinking is not a good omen. Ominous.

* = while I despise Islamic ideology, in fairness to them one meaning of jihad (they claim) is the battle of the self to make the self good. If I have that right. Democracy creates that force by pitting self against self. Totalitarians (China) lack that mechanism. In totalitarian realms it's the boss monkey gang vs the bottom of the heap. China could introduce tradable citizenship which would solve that problem if people could come and go.

Re <<re "Something about goose-stepping gives me the creeps.">>

am wondering how Maurice feels about (a) wars that kill, over extended periods of decades, at great cost, and / or (b) betraying allies a the flick of a tweet..

In comparison, parades are entertainment.

Positively Nurembergian, down to the goose steps.

For inspiration, nothing compares to massed bagpipes playing Scotland the Brave at Edinburgh Castle.

Play loudly.

My favorite city, anywhere. Got married there.

Top 10 tune.
