Jim, the fact is a Special Prosecutor has been appointed to investigate Whitewater and related matters. You may not agree with him, but he is a representative of the people and it's duly elected officials.

She has a moral and legal obligation to answer the questions truthfully. Or take the fifth. Lying or covering-up is not an option.

She does not have to take the oath. The attorney's and the judge do not swear to tell the truth. Are they going to throw her into jail for not taking the oath?

You know, if she did it right she could become a heroine. She should angrily announce that she's sick of the persecution, the hounding, the poking and prying into her private life, and that one way or another--but in a LEGAL way--she intends to say nothing more about the matter. Then she should slap lawsuits on Tripp (illegal wiretapping) and Starr (invasion of privacy). She could try to drag in Janet Reno, the judge, and the FBI as well.

My guess is that the public would stand up and cheer.
