Hi bb jr.

Yes, I agree IOM is an interesting stock.
quote.yahoo.com
I almost bought back in mid '96 after buying a drive after they first came out. One reason I didn't buy then and would still worry now is "what do they have to offer in the way of new products?" The longer they stick with being a single product company, the harder their margins will be squeezed and soon it turns to a commodity where they lack the expertise to really go high volume - low cost like HP or Sony can do overseas. If they don't come out with new products, they could just be another company like MU that goes up and down alot.

$0.02 worth...

Contrast Silicon Graphics stock price curve with Iomega's. However, could SGI be near a buying opportunity? Assuming they are getting their restructuring act together. Some links:

Has Bob Sr. expressed any opinion on SGI?

Iomega and the "Click of Death"... "It's fairly rare," he said. "But it does happen."

BB Jr, Are you still interested in Iomega?

Several intersting articles on it:

iomega.com

Sounds like I should back-up my Iomega backups.
