Yeah, that was part of the insanity wasn't it? An ostensibly "educated people" that were drawn down a path of irrational nationalism stoked with a dangerous mix of mysticism, science, technology, and... all that was Nazi Germany. Part of why the mantra of "we need education" is too simplistic and bugs the crap out of me. We need some tolerance and accountability for the forces that are in control.
