Paul, Re: the machine is saddled with a passive STN LCD display

I thought Compaq called it High Performance Addressing
(HPA) which they said is almost as good as TFT. Do you
feel that it is as good TFT?

But if it is just STN at 2499, I wonder who is going to
buy it.

Dell Inspiron 200MHz MMX with 12" TFT is just 2599
(including 95, MS Office) and I thought it use less power
(longer battery life).

Paul,

Re: "But the good news is that the 0.25 micron K6 is out in the marketplace!"

You are right ... this is "Good News" for AMD. This will provide the
"hope" for their dreams on this thread. Already it looks like this mobile
233mhz K6 draws more power than the Tillamook and will be targeted for
low price mobile notebooks. This part will have the highest ASP for
AMD ... AMD'ites should "hope" and "pray" that there is some volume on
this CPU.

Make It So,
