LOL- you need to raise one. They are completely narcissistic little pods. And just like baby birds, they'd happily push a sibling out of the nest to get what they want- or just to perform an "experiment". They don't understand anything but their own needs for quite a while. You have to teach them empathy- that's not a natural state. Humans are animals- and we all know what animals are capable of. This doesn't make them "bad"- it's just obvious that the "natural" state of animals, including humans, does not include kindness- except when it's functional (like treating your offspring well so your genes prosper). Kindness is the outgrowth of training - and with the luxury of surplus in our environment we can afford to teach kindness (though clearly no everyone is hopping aboard that train.)
