Democracy is the best of several bad models :)

Scheer did not deserve to win given the Trudeau gong show. A non-social conservative would have won easily. Cons picked the wrong guy. I thought Rick Peterson was best candidate. Business guy, pragmatic...

As embarrassed as i am for our country, this result is not as bad as it could have been.

I hope Justin treats himself to a tickle trunk to store his existing and new costumes for the next world tour.

Jason Kenney may have been the ultimate winner last night? Time will tell.

Clearly, the rules for Federal elections need to change and keep up with the modern times.

In a twist of irony, the last time this situation played out federally was in 1979, when Pierre Trudeau’s Liberals received nearly 500,000 more votes than Joe Clark’s Progressive Conservatives, but the PCs picked up 136 seats to the Liberals’ 114.

If the disparity between seats and pop vote were small then the system likely was doing its job.. but frankly the disparity is quite egregious ..

recall Mr. Trudeau's first platform had electoral reform in it... which he quickly dropped after winning...

If the NDP props them up... I would certainly be happy if the NDP PRESSED him for electoral reform

I commented on Mr. Trudeau here Message 32383400 as a reply to Message 32383026
