I can tell you that the Canadian conservative party is nothing like the US conservatism. The People's Party is the one that is most similar to the US conservatives and they failed to gain even a single seat.

Canadian conservatives are similar to the conservative wing of Democratic party, or at most the liberal wing of GOP (very few).

Interesting... I couldn't find any Canada coverage on the US networks last night..they were all blathering
about Trump. But the internet tracked the results fairly closely. I see the conservatives gained seats while
the liberals lost some. Will that make it harder to get things done in the government?
