POG question. Just checked Kitco and noticed something odd. The current spot POG for Asia (+-298) and N.A.(+-292) are about $6 apart. I don't remember seeing that much variation before. Can anyone explain why that is? TIA. JD

Thanks for the info...I wonder though whether "gold plated" jewelry amounts to much in terms of weight in gold in the chart under the heading "fashion jewelry" as the gold plating I understand is "infinitesimally" thin due to the great mallability of gold...I understand it is not the governing factor in pricing this type of jewelry...although the sales lady may try to make you believe so...and charge more. So this plated type of gold, whether in jewelry or electronics, goes to the heap and is therefore in the 10% "attrition" category and partly explains why it is so large. In your business...do you RECOVER this thin plating??? Or is there THICKER plating that is used that IS worth recovering...and how do you recover it???....Why use thicker plating than needed???! Please correct me if I'm wrong...
