I called PC Data myself. The number to call is (703)
435-1025. They typically ask if you are a member but
if you want to confirm yourself, it's worth a call.
Sometimes they will give out their research for free
if you are intersted in becoming a member or if you're
with the press.

The absolute numbers sold is actually closer to 18,000,
but I rounded it off because PC Data only covers 70% of
retail stores. Hope this helps.
