Have you ever flown over Baja California or the Grand Canyon?
Has it been unusually so?
We run from desert in Death Valley, to rain forest up in the NW such as Eureka. Weather runs the full spectrum with snow and ice at the mountain peaks.

So are you in the maybe category for power down?
No, we didn't get any warnings and my models say the wind gusts will "only" be 30 or so here in town.

The ridges north of SF could see as high as 80 where they will shut down the power.
