In the United States we have absolute free speech. In Germany, you do not. That makes a big difference. Limiting free speech is not consistent with a free society, and you pay for that in repeat incidents where people tell you how to think. Hence, one day, you will face another figure who seizes power and does ugly things with it.

It concerns me that we, too, have young people here who do not understand free speech and its role in freedom generally, but we have leftist like Elizabeth Warren who would do away with it. And many of those same people do not know what the Holocaust was, or even why a D-Day was necessary.

Whether you think he's "joking" about overstaying his term of office is immaterial. The simple truth is that that cannot happen here as long as the constitution is intact. The Left are trying to take it apart, but it will be to their own detriment; we can't stop it.

Leftism is not consistent with intelligence, so it is hard to say whether our constitution is on the way out. As the left gains power, the risk to the Constitution increases as does the likelihood of sweeping political change in our country to the left, unfortunately.
