Can't say I would know how to respond or even if I should, but I can't pass up the opportunity to waste space.<g>

I think all abortions should be legalized up until the start of the second trimester with one stipulation. All those choosing this route also agree to have their tubes tied, and the father of said unwanted child will have his "nut cut". This would all be paid for by the government (us). Then if the woman wanted to have children in the future, she could pay the expense to undo the procedure (if in fact it is even possible. Obviously, I don't know). And if the male wanted to have children, FIND A MATE THAT WANTS TO ADOPT!

I think the above suggestion would go a long way to solving many of the problems of having children, like being unable to properly care for them, or having an abortion as a fail-safe option.

Only one draw back, neither, on either side of the issue, would be willing to accept the compromise, hence we would continue the fight through rehtoric and polarization.

I disagree that we may eventually see abortion going back to the "back alley". What else have we pushed back once it was fully entrenched in our society?
