Geologists have determined that climate change has been extremely quick in the past, even faster than today. There is no proof that climate is changing any quicker now, than it has in the past. 2 kilometers of glaciers existed over Toronto 10,000 years ago for tens of thousands of years. Should we cry for their loss and erect monuments to remember them?

Ocean water temperatures are not showing statistically significant changes over the globe. The vast bulk of the water is at the equator and no change in water temperatures have occurred there. The dynamics of water temperature at all levels in the ocean are not presently understood.

The sun warms the planet unevenly. The poles are far more sensitive to changes in solar radiation and matter bombardment than the equator because of the tilt of the earth. If the distance of the earth to the sun changes, or the tilt and wobble of the earth changes, the poles can be expected to warm up more and faster, and cool down more and faster than equatorial regions,. These effects have been proven to change temperatures on the earth surface drastically over time, just as they are doing now. There is no proof that the earth's temperatures are changing any faster or more drastically than they have in the past. Humans have only become more aware and sensitive to these changes that have always occurred, in the last few decades.

The satellite data does not confirm the earth is heating up. We are told by news media and politicians temperatures are changing, but when you look at the data, the changes are not significant.

Man made activities are changing physical observations such as temperature around built up areas, industrial areas and areas that are being changed from forest or grass land to agricultural crops. These have not shown to change earth's climate. They are local effects.

There is no proof that CO2 production from burning fossil fuels has any effect on global temperatures. Any effect the trace amounts of CO2 have made is masked or wiped out by the effect of water vapour in the air.
For millions of years the concentration of CO2 in the air was over 3000 ppm (8 times current concentrations) and life on earth flourished. There is lots of evidence that CO2 is an essential molecule for all life and present low concentrations inhibit the production and growth of plants. If production and growth of plants are inhibited then all life on earth is inhibited as apex predators require plant eaters for sustenance. The present increases in CO2 concentration appear to be directly correlated to increased greening of the planet everywhere, even around the deserts. This is a good thing.

According to Bernie you may have some science background (hopefully thermodynamics and absorption spectra). Review the following clips and I can discuss further.
