The last election made the fight against the dreaded monster, climate change, the most important issue facing all Canadians. They suggested the planet was being destroyed. Politicians all over the country are passing legislation supposedly to combat it. What could possibly be more relevant to this forum? However, the rest of the world ignores it. The 1.7 billion Chinese, 1.3 billion Indians, another billion or so Far Easterners and the billion or so in the African continent couldn't care less about climate change as they race to build new coal and fossil fuel burning plants around the world and mine and import all the coal etc., they can get their hands on to fuel their burgeoning economies. Meanwhile, our politicians seek to cripple our economy and chase fake fossil fuel demons the vast majority of the world population ignores.
