Klaus! so good to hear from you! thanks for the warning..tho..isnt it true that a virus wont attach unless you download it? opening it wont
hurt..alot of the viruses alerts are people gettin a kick outta causing a ruckus..but i'm not techie so not positive on this..

Wildie..i have a 7000 watt.. you get an electrician to put an outlet
into your main power box..you throw your mainpower and plug it in..5 gallons runs it about 7 hours..it runs my entire house..all lights and both heating units. i bought mine at Sam's Wholesale about 5 years ago so they have gone up some..can get them at Sears and pay a dollar down dollar month <i love that place <G> Coleman is very good..
The natural gas ones are the best..Gas Company installs them and they come on automatically..but cost alot..12000 or so..
your cold neighbors will hate you..but..you might start a trend <G>

Chuck..agree no one is selling..but it does appear we had alot of
activity there for a few days..me thinks something is/was in the works.. but with the scrutiny they are under..dont think we will get
any casual announcements for a long while..

Klaus, sounds like you got a email chain letter. These come up from time to time, someone's idea of a joke. If you get an attachment with the unsolicited email then be wary. To my knowledge, reading an email won't trigger the virus program, it's when you open the attachment that contains the doc. or exe. file. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong on this?

Klaus, The following is from the Symantec AntiVirus Center:

"Returned or Unable to Deliver" is not a virus. It is a hoax. The "virus" does not exist. There is currently no virus that has the characteristics ascribed to "Returned or Unable to Deliver." It is a sham, meant only to panic new or inexperienced computer users.

The hoax message includes the following "warning":

There is a new virus going around in the last couple of days!!! DO NOT open or even look at any mail that you get that says: "Returned or Unable to Deliver" This virus will attach itself to your computer components and render them useless. Immediately delete any mail items that says this. AOL has said this is a very dangerous virus, and there is NO remedy for it at this time, Please Be Careful, And forward to all your on-line friends A.S.A.P.

Please ignore any messages regarding this supposed "virus" and do not pass on any messages regarding it. Passing on messages about this hoax serves only to further propagate it.

Best,
O. H.

Again, from Symantec:

Join the Crew is not a virus. It is a hoax. The "virus" does not exist. There is currently no virus that has the characteristics ascribed to "Join the Crew." It is a sham, meant only to panic new or inexperienced computer users.

The hoax message includes the following "warning" seen in multiple forms:

Form 1

If you ever get an e-mail titled "JOIN THE CREW", do not open it because it will wipe everything on your hard disk. This is the newest virus not many people know about it. So e-mail it to everyone you know!!!!!!

Form 2

Please do not open up any mail that has this title. It will erase your whole hard drive. This is a new e-mail virus and not a lot of people know about it, just let everyone know, so they won't be a victim. Please forward this e-mail to you friends!!! Remember the title: JOIN THE CREW

Form 3

We have just had notice of an E:Mail virus doing the rounds. Apparently the virus is so new most virus checkers do not recognise it. If you receive an E:Mail titled 'JOIN THE CREW' do not open it as it will:
1. Delete your hard-disk
2. Delete your E:Mail directories
3. The nastiest part is that before deleting your E:Mail directories it copies the message/virus and forwards it to everyone on your directory
If your techies haven't already warned you it might be worth letting your colleagues know.

Please ignore any messages regarding this supposed "virus" and do not pass on any messages regarding it. Passing on messages about this hoax serves only to further propagate it.
