Qualcomm is doing all the right things marketing wise. Read Geoffrey Moore's book "Crossing The Chasm". After a company reaches some early market penetration, they then need to devote resources to enhance the company name so they can "cross the chasm" into the mainstream market. That takes big advertising dollars. The mainstream market is stacked against the new kid on the block. Qualcomm wants to be a household word like IBM, Cisco, Intel and Microsoft. They are almost across the chasm as I see it ready to run up the big revenue gains quarter to quarter that mainstream acceptance will bring. Mainstream companies advertise during the super bowl. "You ain't seen nothing yet!"
