>>You & Daniel are American citizens--right? Otherwise, you're not entitled to an opinion on this one.<<

What has not being American citizens got to do with having an opinion on any topic? You know what they say "every a^%h*&% has an opinion".
In fact non-citizens may have better opinions on topics, they are only not allowed to cast their vote in an election but that will not prevent anyone from casting it on a discussion board like this.

OT--re:<would you rather have a saint as President but no job OR
Pres. Clinton and your choice of jobs???>
God help us all if we can't find someone in our midst who has both morals and the abilities to run our country.... Oh, and I don't think Clinton had much to do with job creation in the US--unless you're counting all of the government jobs created in his wonderful tenure. Look, if you keep feeding the people ice cream, there's going to be a stomach ache at some point. Get ready to belch.

Hi Ann <Definitely off topic>

I have found it that arguing with people with absolute closed mind such as Duncan, results in nothing but making yourself upset over nothing. A closed mind is a terrible thing that can happen to a human being, but it does happen! The best way to appraoch these people is to be civil to them and take what they say as pure noise (sort or like obnoxious loud music, and/or cars driving by with their radio on playing metal music, etc.).

Anyway, as for this monica episode, the more info comes out the funnier it gets. Apparently this girl told her friend that Clinton not only was having an affair with her but with at least 4 other women on the staff, and at the same time! She then complains to her friend that they (the other 4 women) can handle him but she can not handle his cheating on her! Now I read this and could not do anything but laugh so hard! For one thing from what she says it seems president Clinton apparently does nothing all day long and all he does is to chase women at the White House and have sex with them all day long in the Oval office! Can you just imagine the daily schedule of the president. He gets up in the morning, checks his list, and from 8-10 he has sex with Ms. X, from 10:30-12 he has sex with Ms. Y, 12-1:30 he takes a lunch break and talks with Hillary, then from 1:30-3:00 he has sex with Ms. Z, and so forth.

But seriously it seems to me anyway (and I know I may bring hostile verbal attacks upon myself by Clinton haters), that this Monica has/had a big crush on Bill Clinton to the point of having wishful thinking/fantasy about him. And then the smart-alecs over at the Republican party took advantage of this poor girls fantasy in a combination of the "dumbo" Paula Jones episode and have caused the current crisis!

As I said I am a hard-core Republican (excluding the abortion issue), with hard-core Republican economic philosophy, and never really liked Bill Clinton. However after this episode I truly have come to respect Bill Clinton as a man (despite the fact that I continue to think he really has not done anything for the country but allowing the Reagon policies finally reach their destination). But thats a whole different story.

Anyway, relax and let the metal music play their tune eventhough it maybe obnoxious to listen to! But this shall pass too and the truth will come out!

Regards,

Addi Jamshidi

>>Actually it's a question--would you rather have a saint as President but no job OR Pres. Clinton and your choice of jobs???

That question fails as a rhetorical device because it sets up a false dichotomy, a choice between saint or the present sociopath. Even a cursory look at history shows that is not normally the choice presented. In fact, with the exception of Clinton and one or two others, none have demeaned the Presidency or the United States as has Clinton. Clinton's is the least consequential presidency of this century, with the possible exception of Coolidge, and for Coolidge that was his governing philosophy.

Logically it also misses the issue: outside of national security, can any President be allowed to use and then compel others to lie when sworn to tell the truth? If you agree, then you'll be agreeable to authoritarianism and then maybe totalitarianism.

>> after watching national politics closely for the past two administrations, I know a concerted effort to assasinate someone
politically when I see one, and that's what this Monica episode boils down to.

What you believe, you see. There is no assassination, no one controls little Willy but Big Willy - if anything it is a sexual suicide. You will doubtless see more women coming forward with similar stories. Isn't it typical that this Lyin King can't tell us his story until "all the facts are in"? It just shows Clinton needs time to concoct a story/coverup to fit whatever is disclosed.

Ultimately even you will probably be shocked once the extent of Clinton's corruption is made manifest.

BTW, the only people Clinton ever got jobs for (besides special prosecutors) were his cronies and present/former mistresses. The present economic expansion began well before Clinton became president.

Ann

Are you familiar with the phrase reductio ad absurdum.

'Cause that what your point is.

You obviously believe that Bill Clinton is responsible for private sector jobs. Patronage jobs in government for Democratic coalition groups is the only job he's handing out.

The incredible engine of the free market always creates real jobs. I've yet to see a government produce anything other than acrimony and division. Thankfully, we're not totally a socialist state yet and the free market can operate despite the fetters of social ballast like Clinton.

Beware Machiavellian loyalty to that cowardly liar in the white house, he throws people away like kleenex.

You want guaranteed lifetime employment. Work for the Federal government; move to Sweden. Go to Japan and become a "window sitter". I hear they're looking for a few good hands on the state collective farms in the Ukraine!

You are WAY OUT of line with that American citizen crack, Ann.

Daniel

Around the World, Around the Clock...with United Press International.

Gennifer Flowers has re-surfaced. She is the Arkansas woman whose
reputed affair with then-Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton stretched over 12
years. Flowers says he was a sexual risk-taker who once tried to seduce
her in the governor's mansion while Hillary Clinton entertained 50
official guests on the lawn. She also says Clinton may have seen in
Monica Lewinsky, the former White House intern with whom he is now
alleged to have had an affair, the same qualities he once saw in Flowers
- dark-haired and shapely beauty.

The White House says President Clinton has already answered the key
questions about his alleged relationship with a former intern. And his
Cabinet members have been quick to declare their belief in his
innocence.
