Doesn't that really bite? Gee, let's just give everyone incentive with absolutely NO risk. Hell, while we're at it, let's go ahead and lower EVERY shareholder's basis to 24 11/16. Oh, that won't work, will it? Where's the incentive in this? OK, maybe they could have repriced them a little lower to give them something to strive for, but weren't they really LUCKY in pretty much ringing the bell at the bottom?

Greg, I know it's a bad day in Atlanta (you are welcome here in Tucson any time), but I want those engineers at ASND/CSCC to be happy and productive. The repricing was a great morale booster, as witnessed by the significant turnover reduction. I don't begrudge them their options. (I know you don't either, and that it is just the rain.)

Greg, I sympathize w/ you. The repricing should have been restricted to employees below the director level as other cos have done. In the Si Val, option is no longer trewated as incentive but as entitlement, part of the compensation pkg to keep the cost low. COs have no choice because the supply and demand for the talents are out of whack here. The co does buy back a small amount of shares to replenish the exercised options. IMHO, ASND should have buy back much more for this is after all a great investment if the co believes the stock would trend upwards. It's a win-win situation unless the co choose not to do so b/c of some imminent event happening.

Hi,
<<< **** OT **** >>> options for employees

FWIW, I feel that the stock price going down is more due to market conditions and inept management than due to lack of effort by the engineers.

As such I dont see any harm in lowering the price for exercising the option. I know how we feel at our company and we have very few if any slackers amongst us.

Hope the sun shines for all of us

Regards,
jag-dish

Have cable modems gotten to your part of town yet? I was shocked when I found out they're HERE!
