epicure,

And look where that got us- Trump. Taking the "high" road got us a Scrotus breaking the laws with impunity and the support of his corrupt party. You can go down to defeat being "better" or you can stoke your anger and that of others and win. I'd like to win next time around.

When the other side is willing to sell the country out to a foreign power, or call on foreign powers to help it win elections, anything that works should be encouraged. And anger is such a great caustic cleanser. That's what Scrotus used to propel himself to the presidency. That's what dems need to use. Burning, white hot anger. It's time.
I see both sides of this. I understand John's side of things and in more normal times, I would agree with him. But when the other side is willing to burn down the house in order to try to get things their way, more drastic action is required.

I liked what Nadler did last night. And the Republicans are having fits since they didn't get things their way. Just like a toddler. Very predictable behavior.

And to throw one other thing in the mix. Corbin's defeat in Britain should be a light bulb moment for the Democrats.

Lots of stuff in your comments, e. However, nastiness which wishes death on your political opponents is much more than a step too far for me. It leads, over a very short road, to violence levels none of us wish for. There are more than a few very good strategies short of that fiery voice. Moreover, in addition to morality problems, I suspect there are political problems as well.
