Saying SCOTUS is corrupt is vastly different from wishing that judges have heart attacks. As for our situation, I don't see any strong evidence that the Dems being less nasty than the Reps gave the Reps the 2016 electoral college vote. Hillary Clinton ran an entitled campaign rather than aggressive campaign (summary for lots of sins). And there are serious inequities in the country that neither party has effectively addressed. That latter left a pool of aggrieved voters available for authoritarians like Trump.

Two points. I completely disagree that the Reps are now stacking the courts is because they are meaner, nastier than the Dems. You are simply asserting it; not arguing it. So I'll leave it as is.

As for a corrupt SCOTUS, it helps to be a great deal more specific. Some of the judges on both sides of the aisle are there for completely defensible reasons. And I haven't seen arguments about their corruption. I completely disagree with many, many of their decisions. But that's a very long way from their being corrupt.

As for corruption itself, I can see serious arguments about two of them. But that's not a "corrupt" court.

And there is a separate argument about how the court moved to a strong 5 to 4 conservative majority. Some of that process was disgusting. But that's on McConnell.
