"I pointed out exactly why businesses rely on "undocumented workers" for labor" And one of the most important reasons why businesses do what they do regarding "undocumented workers" is BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT THEY CAN TREAT THESE ILLEGAL WORKERS ANY WAY THAT THEY WANT BECAUSE THESE WORKERS WON'T "RETALIATE" OR FIGHT BACK BECAUSE THEY ARE DESPERATE FOR THEIR JOB AND DESPERATE TO STAY IN THE USA. It's much the same as with SLUM LANDLORDS who rent out their property to desperate people ..... they don't have to maintain their properties or give it some air of respectability or even a lick of paint. In other words they don't have to spend much, if anything, on their properties because their desperate tenants CERTAINLY ARE NOT GOING TO BE DOING ANY COMPLAINING !!

The undocumented workers are usually treated well and work hard however this remains a secret as the employer is afraid of being charged as one individual experienced some time ago. So your argument is that we should pay much less per hour and then people could be hired legally.What do you think is fair for this type of work? Is it $5 ,$6 or $7 an hour w/o benefits? The big farms are subsidized but the small farmers are screwed. How have the tariffs helped particularly with soybeans? Rich
