>>It's also beyond me why anyone should care about this stuff in any serious way. Though without it we wouldn't have this hilarious thread.

You're right. Instead we'd be sitting around telling stale polish jokes....

<<Take, for example, her story about Bill boffing four other women at the same time.>>

That's definately a major league orgy. Heard that the XXXXtacy Network is attempting to procure exclusive video rights.

Janice, re It's also beyond me why anyone should care about this stuff in any serious way.

I think what people care about more than the alleged incident(s) themselves is the impression that "our Bill" might be engaging in cover-up, to the extent of obstructing justice. People just don't go for that *at all*. I think Americans hold dear the ability of courts to persue all avenues of a legal case. I think the past has shown that this is really a dynamite issue with the people (see cnn.com poll results), and IF it comes out that Monica is likely telling truth when she says that Bill told her "there's no proof, so you can deny, deny, deny" [re questions from the Paula Jones attorneys].....it's over for Bill. The only question is, will there be enough evidence to support an obstruction of justice charge?

"I am not a crook". Remember how that played when it became obvious he [Nixon of course] was engaging in cover-up? It went over like a lead balloon. I don't think people have changed that much in re their views of cover-ups/etc.

Also, if there is indeed a dress owned by Ms. Lewinski with semen stains on it from Pres. Clinton [as is told by a "source"], then Bill better ponder his next move with extreme caution. A DNA test would show if it matches Bill or not. Then again, as jhild said on "the Ghost" thread, it would probably turn out that the LA Police planted the stain. -GG-
