Answered my own question on Sime Darby:

quote.yahoo.com

Anyone else want to comment on this company? It sounds like a good proxy for the whole Malaysian stock market. Does anyone know if the ADRs are linked strictly to current value of the stock as traded in Malaysia? or is there a premium?

Tomasso,Jyoti

I would be able to buy it direct here in Malaysia where I am a legal resident but I do not know for you. I will investigate Monday and repost unless I see someone else with the answer pop up. This next week will be very slow here in Malaysia as it is the time of the twin holidays, Chinese New Year and hari Raya. I am told that over 1 million people will leave the city of Kuala Lumpur to make their ways back to their home villages (called Kempongs) and that the streets here may actually be decent to drive on. But I still think I should be able to get your answer. I posted Jyoti's name in the reply because he may know the answer already.
Best,
Stitch

Tommaso I'd watch the posts of Bernie Tate and Stitch very closely for their read on SIDBY. It was down to $.75 last week. With what is about to happen in Asia from $1.05 to $.50 say, you are down -55%. A big, big hit.

SIDBY is a great idea, it is all in the timing... if the swamp has a bottom.
