Instead of a case where power corrupts, more likely we are seeing what happens when the absolutely corrupt have power. Aw, c'mon. When it comes to corruption, they haven't got a clue. I direct you to Europe and the Far East if you want to see how it's REALLY done. In the absence of that, I give you the Reagan administration. Or if you want to go further back, Harding. Were they as corrupt as you claim, they'd at least have made a buncha money. Which seems not to be the case.
