CLK,
That is a bold prediction, but I believe you have a solid grasp of the situation at hand. Now, throw in the uneasiness that the Clinton situation has created, as silly as it may sound, and you could have just such a scenario. Gold is appearing as a safe haven again, especially since the bonds faltered a bit on Friday and the dollar is losing some of it's "luster".
It may not be like 1929, but it won't be pretty.
