Matt, not true, Gore could only serve one more term if he becomes President from any impeachment...article 22? of the constitution...

Yeah, if he serves more that two years and a day of Clinton's term it counts, if he serves less than that it doesn't count against the two terms he can serve. Man, I hope no one seriously believes that Gore cis electable

Afterall, this is Clinton's term, not his...anyone know the specifics of term limits?

It came up in the case of Lyndon Johnson. If the sitting president has served more than half his term, and is then replaced (for whatever reason: death, resignation, impeachment), new president (former vp) can run two more times.

Johnson, of course, got into trouble with Vietnam and chose not to run for a second (elected) term.
