That was my question-what effect will it have?I don't know and was asking those who know by being around for the Gulf War.
It doesn't matter what I hope for or what I'm happy with;what is going to happen is going to happen. If the oil service stocks get biz from this and oil perks up then hell yes I'll be happy for my stock but unhappy about death and destruction.
I'm a spectator who has no effect on this deal and specualting the EFFECT.
Man,I really need to explain this to you huh?
I live in Beverly Hills.

I read your earlier comment too. I agree with you that this sector is going down, and have been saying so. Not many people on this thread want to hear that. As for it turning up this is not happening soon. At least all the technical analysis I did say that the bottom has not been reached. This sector reminds me that of the semis. They got beaten and every analyst and most people kept buying the dip and it kept getting lower. In this sector it was never expected that a company would not meet expectations. Well 3 did and now they started warning that Asia may be a factor in the coming year. I expect that more comanies will start reporting in the next quarter or atleast talk about a slow down.

The OSX has been in a down trend between the 20 day ema and the lower bollinger band. It hit the 20 day ema a few days ago and down again.

As for the Gulf War, long before the war the price of oil was already in an uptrend. If there is another war which we have no basis to start or the will to fight (no excuse about liberating another democracy or a kingdom this time) just for oil, I still think that oil will be in a bear market. There may be a spike and that is all. Because how long can the war last?. I previously posted the news from FWN. The oil pits are supporting the theory of no war. Oil went down further not up even with all this talk of war.
