Duh. Months old news. Just triggered because of recent
filing of 10K/A, which tidies up the numbers. In past
quarter, market share actually went up. Was the point of
your post Ken that this stuff is being recycled by the
media, and hurts Apple? Or were you unaware that this
was old news? WRT the first point, I think it is interesting
that they report last quarters profit, follow that with
2 years loss statement, but never follow up the FY97 market
share info with the last months growth in share. Bad news
reporting. Of course, this info is not in the 10K/A, since
it is post FY97 info.

This decrease in market share was predicted and may have already been reflected in the price of the stock. I understand this news came out before the market closed on Friday and Apple was ahead. We'll see Monday. I don't expect much of a drop due to this news but you never know.
