The shenanigans by party leadership has turned people off. The #walkaway movement is strong and getting stronger by the day. As a moderate, the self destruction of the Democratic party is a sad but fascinating thing to watch. Sad, because I've encouraged my foam-at-the-mouth (literally spit flies when some speak of Trump or Bush) CA Liberal family and friends that they should (have) use (used) these four years to give us moderates a candidate who supports choice, supports less taxation of the middle and lower class who are struggling, some sort of health care that is affordable, secure borders (A Democrat issue before Trump) to protect our workers, better trade deals (with low taxation of corporations operating in the US) to encourage more manufacturing in the US (Another Democratic issue before Trump), and some reasonable work on climate change that isn't just an excuse to tax us for your special programs without getting concessions from the rest of the World that make a difference. Yet all they do is lie about the rich getting a tax cut while we all know taxes went up in our blue states because the wealthy can't deduct their 13.3% State taxes and super high property AND 9% sales taxes from their Federal income taxes that went down maybe 2%. Their lying about their taxes has activated the Bernie and Liz warriors in our state who think the way to solve their problems is socialism. indeed, what a country!
