koan,

How can the progressives be the minority when Bernie and Warren keep getting so many votes?
First of all, there has been only 1 state that has voted. Second, in the primaries and especially the caucuses, the most motivated are the ones going out there. With the caucus, it is not just going to place a vote. You have to actually do something else and be there which a lot of people don't have time to do. This plays right into the hands of the people with the most rabid supporters, which, up to now, has been Sanders. Let us see how all this holds up in other states. And Sanders numbers may be padded by Republicans crossing lines to vote for him in order to get the candidate that they perceive will be easier to beat in November.

The more the African Americans learn about Bloomberg's stop and frisk and Bidens 1994 crime bill the more they will move to Bernie. The Black kids already like Bernie and Warren.
Just looking at the bill through 2020 eyes, it may not look good. But there were epidemics of crime in the inner cities that were gotten under control with the crime bills that got passed. The bills worked but outlasted their usefulness. Now, I am unaware of African Americans being for Sanders and Warren in big numbers. My take has been that they have been for Biden in a big way.

"How can the progressives be the minority when Bernie and Warren keep getting so many votes?"
Combined, they get less than 50%, the traditional dividing line between minority and majority.

"If the progressives are in a minority why are they winning in the polls?"
There are only 2 of them spitting the vote, versus 3-6 running in the other lane.

"The more the African Americans learn about Bloomberg's stop and frisk and Bidens 1994 crime bill the more they will move to Bernie"
Bernie voted for the crime bill, and they know about stop/frisk.

Koan - I think you might want to spend some time mulling over
what happened in the Jeremy Corbyn versus Boris Johnson
election in our sister nation of England. For me there are many
strong parallels that should and absolutely need to be applied
to what we think might be the outcome or outcomes in our own
elections. My thesis is we are even worse off than the British
electorate was, as I believe the Republican corruption of the
election process and outcome in the United States will be a
major additional factor that would need to be layered on top of
what happened in the British elections...and we have the
pro-fascist Fox news and right-wing radio that they don't and
didn't have. Those factors will ensure Bernie and his followers
will have an even tougher go of it here should he be the nominee.
