China has both the resources and the will to do things that most countries cannot. Should the virus spread to the poorer countries mentioned in your post, plus South America and Africa, we will see things that are surely not baked into the goldilocks equity, currency, and debt markets around the world. It may peter out in warm weather like flu generally does, but what if it doesn't?

Even if things turn out miraculously well over the next few months rather than deteriorate further, the risk of goldilocks getting stomped to death by an exiting crowd is real, and does not appear to be priced into any market that I have seen.
