My theory of history sees it as a battle for individual freedom versus a dictatorial state. Its a cycle with the State version consistently winning. Look around the world today and we see Mussolini's economic system in use by almost everybody, Economics run by the State. The State doesn't OWN the companies, oh no, they just CONTROL them. The companies go along because they want a stable situation that will keep competition from hurting them. When I was running my two bit garage cabinet business, doing 500K a year if I was lucky, I was constantly undercut by every carpenter in town. I could beat them because I was a salesman and they weren't. But it would have been nice to be able to run them off. That is what your night watchman offers to do for you if you let him be your Government and run things for you. It starts out as the old Tribal Chief Feudal system and Marx, standing on the shoulders of Plato, Hegel and Kant, completed the structure for it.

Your analysis is logical and I agree with pretty much everything you said. But the flaw is the logic. The Dims are not logical. President Trump will win again but he will lose California, New York, Hawaii, Florida will be close. I think he will put every other State in play. Too many people will still vote emotionally. So, the Dems will not be decimated. Hopefully, Republicans will retake the House, I think they will add in the Senate and President Trump will win with a larger majority then before. Of this I’m fairly confident. My biggest fear is what happens after his strong personality is missing on the Right.
