Hi Kirk,

Bull Rider AKA David Plonk has been watching XOM. He thinks it will hit 50.00ish and then take a bounce to 82 ish. (long term call) for him.

I sold some $55.00 puts for $5.95 with a net purchase price of $49.05 and a yield of 7.10 %. That sounds crazy, but my last T puts I sold had a yield just like that - (they expired to 00.00 and helped me pay for some T stock that netted out just below 32.00 ish).

I go far out (on the equity I have in the account), as a small boost to the portfolio's total dividend yield. Although it is beyond the cash I have in the account, the future accumulated dividends if not spent, would cover the cost of the assigned stock.

Bumps the yield but never gets me into margin.

We SEE. I did get 2000 XOM shares assigned to me today (a week earlier than expiration).

Total position yielding 5.05%.

If all XOM puts get assigned, I'll have a full position.

Would like more pharma but staying away as government pressure on pricing is too big of an unknown.

Should probably already be legislation if the Dems cared about doing the people's biz beyond - impeachment that is.

Historically , Xom has been one of those stocks that break up off a head and shoulders trendline, most of the time. When the pattern completed the way it is supposed to. It has been because of the market termoil, equity or oil..
Not to say that it couldn't complete as supposed to. Odds favor higher price structure.
