Ethereum is not just digital currency, it’s much more than that. The platform serves as a decentralized arbiter of transactions. It is being used by some Fortune 500 companies because it decreases transaction costs significantly. It is binary and uses the blockchain. Either the transaction fits and is accomplished with ether, the digital currency, or it doesn’t and nothing happens. Think of it as a super sophisticated letter of credit. Ethereum takes a small gateway fee for using the platform. The issue is scalability and speed, which are the same thing. There are some very, very smart kids (smartest in the world, imo) working on this. Issues will be solved sooner or later without need to simply make things big so they can go fast. Is it still a dud? I am not arrogant (or smart) enough to issue an opinion. What I do know is that many don’t think so, so I will join them, and scurry away like a thief in the night at more or less the (profitable) moment. I don’t understand how anyone allows strong opinions get in the way of profits. I have no idea if BTC is valuable. I do know that many, many people think so. I’ll join them, with a strong weather eye for an exit point. In other words, I’m admittedly ignorant. Despite this, I suspect that I will profit from it. Ditto TSLA. Already done.
