Doug, I am afraid that I neglected to credit Worswick from the Asia thread for finding this piece of information. Nevertheless, we may be abble to view the African situation less a struggle between religions (muslimd vs christians) and more a struggle for post colonialism dominance and access to markets by the former colonial powers. To my horror I learned that these colonial powers still lack any moral backbone, or at least some segments of those old colonial powers do, if indeed Saint Exup‚ry's report is reflection of the truth. What surprises me, is that during your close contacts with people and leaders in the region, you have not heard of this slant on the Rwanda genocide before. All I can say is that once more people murder people in the name of the allmighty, and I am not sosure that the almighty condones any of it.
