On a MHH(monthly higher high) basis TXN would be a buy at 52 1/16
But being flexible, a trade above 49 7/8 could be a buy.
See my web site for chart of TXN

Though I couldn't find shipping, price or even availability references so I suspect this was more public relations.

Bruce --

Good to see you here. I'm logging on from ComNet in Wn., D.C., where I heard Eric Benhamou give the opening keynote this morning. If it's any comfort, he's as frustrated with the RBOCs as we are. The difference being he's meeting with FCC chairman Kennard this afternoon, probably as we speak. Let's hope he can exert the right kind of influence to get telcos to unbundle and get the industry moving.

Benhamou's theme was convergence. No surprise to anyone who's followed the industry for the past couple years.

The buzz besides convergence is speed. I seldom sit down without hearing someone asking about DSL. The guy who introduced one of the speakers today was at the table next to mine at the Renaissance bar last night and I admit I eavesdropped when he sat forward and asked the guy sitting across from him, "Okay, tell me about DSL --- what do I need to know so I don't sound stupid." It took all the restraint I had to keep quiet. :))

This afternoon I attended a private DSL demo by NEC and discovered they were using Diamond Lane's systems. Impressive. They're designed for both CAP and DMT and right now are being sold with Paradyne's line cards. One more example of "small world:" the first person to introduce himself was Tim Krepps, formerly of Amati. He's now with Diamond Lane. No hurry to rush out and buy shares --- they're still private with plans to go public in about a year. Their CEO ?? Parrent, came from USWest. Savvy company.

I chatted with an engineer from Alcatel and he confirmed their chips will be used in Compaq's computers they're doing with Ameritech.

Also chatted with NN engineers. . . but will save all that for the CrossKeys thread.

There's lots of excitement and as far as I can tell, the bottleneck-du-jour is at the PC. Go TXN!

More as I get it.

Cheers!

Pat
