Re: Advertising,

My opinion of the Iomega ads during the Super Bowl is that they
sucked. On every other commercial the roomful (about 20) people
were glued to the TV set and actually interacted from the commercials shown. We were relating to it in some way and making jokes. When the
Iomega ad displayed, everone watched it for about 10 seconds, then
started socializing and talking about topics other than the Iomega
commercial. The ad lost everyone. Something was wrong with it. Maybe it was too complicated. But the bottom line is Iomega wasted their cash, and in a big way.

<<So the commercial was supposed to convince CIOs to replace all their database software with Oracle software? There was never any mention of databases, either>>

Someone else mentioned this to me last night.

Now that I think about, the NC's will never be what ORCL envisions. These guy's have lost focus and have totally veered off track. The question is, how long will it take before they realize what the hell is going on? Won't it be too late by then? What market share will they have when they decide to make database their core business again. These guy's are making AAPL look good.
