IF THE SERIOUS POSTERS AND READERS AGREE, I PROPOSE THE FOLLOWING:

I too am VERY frustrated with this board's quality lately as many others are. I have come up with a plan to create a quality board that will be free from the likes of "you know who." If the good folks at the SI offices can't/won't help us out, I see no other choice than to create a private forum for the short to intermediate term, so I state my proposal:

I am willing to collect all of the names of those who wish to be on a private e-mail list. Once this list is created, you can add/delete those who you wish not to respond to. I would also expect YOU to help me in deletely any fools that show up as this list would constantly be forwarded to each other all the time. "You know who" will be excluded from this list and deleted (if they think they'll get past me) should they show up. I will then forward all the list (properly named the "FTEL SI GROUP") to those who signed up and we can then have our privacy. I know this could be a huge undertaking, however I think it will be worth it.

I wish to see all those interested by casting your vote here on this board first. I will then inform you by way of a general message as to how to get on this list. IF YOU HAVE NO "WORKING" E-MAIL ADDRESS LISTED IN YOUR SI PROFILE, then I won't be able to add you on. This will also ensure that any "undesirables" will be excluded.

Cast your vote by typing, "CHRIS, SIGN ME UP."

We'll have to have enough people to make this workable and worth my effort. Hope to hear from you.

Chris

As old Sherm Potter would say"let me put it suctsinkter, ggg".The ceo of franklin telecom has stated his business plan to bring a value of between 400-800mil. for its service subsidiary ,fnet. If he executes his business plan for fnet and the hardware sales materialize you have a winner at multiples of the current share price. If he is not successful you wont have a winner. Its very simple and most posts are of coffee clotch variety.so iI have done my due dilly by calling the company and have focused on the timing of getting fair value for fnet and impending hardware sales.May I suggest the same for those who believe there is potential value here. For those who do not believe in the future prospects of ftel dont waste my and your time trying to save me from my folly. For the non due dilly flippers, I support rb"s stance. That is unless you wish to send me a check from part of your profits on my work.I will establish a p.o. box for that purpose if a ground swell of contributors emerge on this board.nggg

<Paul and Mitch, I know of no other forum or any definitive plans to create another forum. I'am sorry to say but if you have the time to lurk on this thread all day, then you have time to place a call and accept some of the responsibility that comes with investing. It's called doing your own DD. Your investment, your dollars, your responsibility. Hate to be harsh but if by now you don't know what you own, or you just use this thread to gauge sentiment so that you can flip, I'm not about to grease your pockets with my sweat. RB>

RB,

I have long have had tremendous respect for you (and have stated this very thing here many, MANY times). Still do. But I'm naturally responding to what I believe is a very nasty post you (surprisingly) directed at me earlier today.

You didn't "[h]ate to be harsh"; you were harsh for your own reasons, but methinks you have me confused with someone else. Especially when I read stuff like: "It's called doing your own DD. Your investment, your dollars, your responsibility." Yeah, I know; I've been trying to preach these very things for months (and nothing else) on this here thread. And "if...you just use this thread to gauge sentiment so that you can flip, I'm not about to grease your pockets with my sweat", when I've clearly long-identified myself as a small-time investor (5,000 shares; cost basis of just under $4.00/share) and forever holding, not trading (as I've also mentioned ad nauseum). So I'm sorry, but I'm a bit ticked. I hope next time you direct your venom at more appropriate targets than me.

I have written many posts here over the past few months stressing my great long-term confidence in Franklin, as well as the need for others to do DD (and to stop whining so incessantly). I used to post a lot more, but lately have mainly lurked due to the disintegrating nature of the thread. My long-term confidence in Franklin remains. I've never said or intimated otherwise; I feel I know what I own and I'm very comfortable with that. What's more, what's this about--"if you have the time to lurk on this thread all day..."? You've posted here probably more than most people (and I'm glad you have).

I don't lurk on this thread every hour of every day. Some days I try to, but most days I'm too busy. I do try to read most posts by the end of most days, and I do read this thread with a comprehensive approach. Partly because I so enjoy having my DD validated in spades by the likes of you, vic, Temp, et al. And I've said this very thing in numerous posts.

My response to Mitch was only in the hopes that if another forum is being created, that I'd like to participate, as I'm so positive about Franklin. That's it; nothing more.

I'm not maligning you in any way, just trying to correct what I believe is a (very) false impression of me.

A warm shalom.
